I’m sure you’ve all heard about the Orlando Massacre. It’s the worst mass shooting in US history. It epitomizes the danger of homophobia and its violent manifestations. The shooter Omar Mateen was propelled by both his religious faith and mental instability, being described as “belligerent, racist, unstable, and bipolar.’
I won’t explore this atrocity in depth, as I’m sure far more rigorous and thoughtful accounts exist. From me and all humanists around the globe, my thoughts are with the victims and their families. We are all human, and we stand taller when united.
